Need based innovation
TADA Medical is a spin-off from the Clinical Innovation Fellowships (CIF) programme. This EIT Health flagship initiative is an eight-month long programme with the purpose of creating solutions for the unmet needs of hospitals across the globe. All CIF programmes include a clinical immersion during which the clinical needs are identified and validated. Our team was positioned at the paediatric oncology clinic at Uppsala University Hospital, Sweden. The CIF-team members were chosen and matched together through a rigorous interview and test process to create the ideal multidisciplinary team that could identify and develop need-based innovations for the healthcare sector. During our time in the programme we were all educated in the Stanford Biodesign Process. The programme also provided the team with a vast network of people skilled in all areas regarding innovation for healthcare.
Over time, the original CIF team has been reinforced with additional members. We have a strong support network from participation in activities such as the KTH Innovation pre-incubator, STING Incubate and various EIT Health activities. We work with the organisation In-Nordic that specialise in connecting Nordic companies with the right partners on the Chinese market.
